This 1925 Genevan news page highlighs the annual Homecoming Game and the annual football and basketball banquets.  The Homecoming Game of 1925 occurred on Saturday, November 3 against Thiel which was considered the most important home game that year.  Pre-game preparations included the Athletic Association preparing gold and white flags for the game, the American Legion hanging these flags on their poles, and the Moose band playing alongside the school band.

The 1924 football banquet commemorating the 1924 season took place on Tuesday, December 16 at McKee Hall.  In attendance were sixty guests who were all invited by President and Mrs. Pearce.  This year’s banquet was highlighted by apparently “unusually pretty” decorations and a glowing fire.  A five-course dinner was presented to the guests, served by the Cameron society of the College Hill Reformed Presbyterian Church.  Speakers included Coach Jack Sack, captain Raymond Wild, President Pearce, and Rutherford Gilmore, former Geneva athletics manager.

The last event included in the 1924 Genevan was the annual basketball banquet.  Held on Saturday, March 21 at the home of Dr. and Mrs. Pearce, guests included Coach McMillin and his wife, Professor and Mrs. Edgecombe, Mr. and Mrs. Cutwright, and Dr. and Mrs. Clarke.  There was a series of toasts given by various guests and the event concluded at 11:55 as to not run over to the Sabbath.
